Dreieich - March 5, 2008 – TelemaxX deploys Pan Dacom Direkt GmbH platform in Germany

Pan Dacom Direkt GmbH, a product integrator providing innovative optical transport, WDM and aggregation solutions for service providers and enterprise networks, announces the deployment in Germany of its offering through the carrier operator TelemaxX optical network. This association has been built upon the optical performance and high flexibility of the Ekinops 360 platform, enabling TelemaxX to optimize its utilization of available fiber capacity and sustain the capacity and geographical development of its optical network.

Since 2007, TelemaxX has been working closely with Pan Dacom Direkt GmbH to develop its optical transport network in order to propose to broadband service providers to extend the accessibility of their triple play services (TV, telephone, Internet) to the largest number of subscribers. Introduced in the first quarter of 2007, the Ekinops 360 platform has been implemented by the carrier operator to set up a backbone connecting more than eleven major cities, including Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, and Eppelheim.

Ekinops met the TelemaxX needs with the implementation of its highly programmable 360 platform, providing aggregation of Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) and STM-16 over 10 Gbps. The capacity of the network implemented by TelemaxX can be extended up to 32 channels at 10Gbps.
