The SPEED-COMPACT CWDM is a very flexible, versatile and compact 1U complete CWDM system. The high-speed active interfaces can be variable equipped with SFPs. The system supports up to four different and manageable applications like IP, SDH or Storage for which two channels can be used transparent and protocol independent up to 2.67Gbps and the other two channels up to 1.25Gbps. The SNMP-based system monitoring and configuration can be realized locally via the integrated NMS switch or remote inband via the fiber optic link. One module slot is flexibly used either for the integration of a passive CWDM multiplexer of the SPEED series or for any other active SPEED rack mount card. The redundant AC and DC power supply and the optional protection switching of applications offers necessary system redundancy for highly reliable networks. The system is perfectly suited for a space-saving use in point-to-point applications or even as a cost-effective remote unit for a star and/or ring-shaped connection to the SPEED-CARRIER 4.5U.
