Description

The SPEED_MODEM FO is a highly flexible fiber opric modem for extension of one or two data, video and/or voice applications using only a single pair of fibers. G.703/G.704, 1 x 10/100BaseTX (optionally a 2-Port switched version) , X.21 and V.35 interfaces are available for the enduser side. The line interfaces uses the SFP technology to support different requirements (Multimode, Singlemode, WDM, CWDM) by simply changing the SFP modules. The SPEED-MODEM FO enables future-proof and cost-effective migrations to C/DWDM networks using CWDM SFPs. Configurations can be realized easily via the console port or DIP switches. The SPEED-MODEM FO can be installed flexibly in a 1-slot or 3-slot stand-alone housing or can be integrated in the 19"-rack SPEED-SHELF (16 Slots). The SPEED-SHELF provides the ability to optionally monitor the SPEED-MODEM FO via SNMP using a management rack mount card.
