Cost-effective multiplexer for up to nine optical channels using a multimode fiber optic

The SPEED-CWDM MM series is a cost-saving multiplexer platform for up to nine optical channels using a multimode fiber optic line. Multiplexer modules with two, five and nine channels are available for a transparent transmission of e.g. Fibre Channel, Ethernet and SDH applications. This CWDM module is perfectly suited for connecting SFP-based user equipment which can be equipped with CWDM wavelengths. In the event that a SFP integration in existing user equipments cannot be accomplished, further SPEED products like the SPEED-DUALLINE SFP can be provided to achieve a cost-effective wavelength conversion. Transmissions of up to nine applications can be realized without additional efforts by using a pair of fibers. The SPEED-CWDM MM can either be integrated in a stand-alone housing (1-slot), the SPEED-RACKHOUSING (4 slots), the SPEED-CARRIER 1U (4 slots) or in the SPEED-CARRIER 4.5U (17 slots).
