Implementing 2/4/8G FC applications in CWDM and DWDM networks
The SPEED-DUALLINE FC is an extremely flexible and compact 4-port transponder module. Depending on the customers` application, the SPEED-DUALLINE FC can be equipped with four SFP/SFP+ ports or alternatively with two SFP/SFP and two XFP ports. This transponder module converts up to two 2/4/8Gbps FC channels on dedicated wavelengths in CWDM and DWDM network infrastructures. In addition the integrated 3R function enables to accomplish a transmission of long distances.
SFP+-to-XFP conversion for 2/4/8G FC including 3R signal regeneration
Another field of application for the SPEED-DUALLINE FC is the interface conversion of SFP+ or SFP transceivers to XFP transceiver. Combined with the 3R functionality a transmission of long distances can be realized.
Long-distance data center connection with 1+1 protection
The SPEED-DUALLINE FC provides a 1+1 protection for long-haul data center connections. Up to 80km distances without the need of a regeneration can be achieved. Depending on the customers‘ requirements up to 2/4/8G FC signals can be transmitted. The SPEED-DUALLINE FC can be even used as an intelligent Fibre Channel Demarcation CPE by using the integrated management functionalities.
