SPEED-SINGLELINE - an active transponder module for xWDM networks
The SPEED-SINGLELINE SFP is a multifunctional and compact 2-port SFP module for the universal use in telecommunication networks. The main field of application is cost-optimized CWDM and DWDM networks where the SPEED-SINGLELINE SFP, as an intelligent transponder module, converts a transparent data channel to a corresponding CWDM/DWDM wavelength. The module can be managed locally via Telnet (SNMP) or CLI interface and through SNMP or Web by using the optionally available management module.
Media / interface converter in a standalone housing
The SPEED-SINGLELINE SFP can be used as a protocol transparent electrical-to-optical interface converter in e.g. SDH (STM-1), IP (Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet) or storage (ESCON, FICON, Fibre Channel) networks.
One application transmitted via a single fiber (without external xWDM)
This module is ideally suited for implementation in purely optical network infrastructures to convert among various fiber types (Multimode / Singlemode) and wavelengths (e.g. 1310nm to 1530nm) while any protocol (e.g. IP, SDH, video or storage) starting from 10Mbps up to 1.25Gbps is supported. In addition a single fiber transmission can be accomplished by using bi-directional (BiDi) SFPs.
