Couplers are passive components suitable for separation or consolidation of optical signals to be used in LAN/WAN systems, for CATV or test systems. The SPEED-KOPPLER provides a price advantage compared to PLC splitter due to division ratio of 1:2 or 1:4. Customer requirements can individually be implement by user-defined cascading. The couplers are produced as rack mount module being ready-for-installation. Diverse types are available for ordering – even with a separate interface (mid-storage access). By means of a mid-storage access a 1:32 coupler can also be used as two 1:16 couplers. Consequentially multiple couplers can be integrated in a rack mount module or housing. Not only the division ratio can be defined arbitrary, but also the power that shall be decoupled. For test and monitoring purposes the required power for the instrument can be decoupled without affecting the main application.
