Triple play application
Planar splitters are passive components suitable for separation or consolidation of optical signals in fiber optics. Those splitters are used for maximum division ratio up to 1:64 due to the low insertion loss and minor installation size.
Planar splitters are designed for consolidating or separating fibers in optical networks or systems – ideally qualified for the use in PON, FTTx and CATV infrastructures.
Typically one or two incoming fibers are split in 8, 16, 32 or 64 fibers. The SPEED-SPLIT provides a maximum diversity in choosing of division ratio.
The splitter convinces by providing a maximum reliability, very low polarization-dependent loss (PDL) and its compact design. By means of the almost steady division ratio provided for the wavelength, these splitter are ideally for the use in FTTx or PON networks. The SPEED-SPLIT is available for diverse connections and with all common connector types.
