Extension of data services via a copper pair
The new SPEED-DSL.bis series can be used flexibly for LAN-to-LAN and PBX connection supporting up to 60Mbps (with 8-wire), 30Mbps (with 4-wire) or 15Mbps (with 2-wire copper lines). Thus distances up to 7km can be achieved. The SPEED-DSL.bis (RAIL) offers a transparent transmission of VLAN “tagged” Ethernet traffic provided by the integrated Layer 2 bridge. The modems can be configured by software either as provide or subscriber unit.
High-speed Ethernet connection via 2-/4-/8-wire copper lines
The slave unit automatically synchronizes to the settings of the master unit with the best possible speed. Unlike other comparable products, the SPEED-DSL.bis (RAIL) supports in one unit both conventional G.SHDSL and the new G.SHDSL.bis standard. The ideal coding can be chosen depending on application, quality and length of a wire. In the event of a copper line loss caused by link problems, the modem continues to operate with second wire without interruption. The modems are available as plug & play units for DIN-rail mounting to be monitored and configured by console port, Telnet, SNMP and HTTP.
Typical ranges – 2-wire copper line
