Asynchronous fiber optic multiplexer for the use in control rooms

The SPEED-MUX FO1300 is perfectly suited for a secure transmission of multiple 20mA interfaces using a pair of fibers. Security-relevant data have to be transmitted transparently and fail-safe, especially in the field of industrial process and control as well as railway and transportation. The modular SPEED-MUX FO1300 provides the required redundancy with its four redundant power supplies integrated in two logically and physically separated subsystems.
Each subsystem can multiplex up to 24 x 20mA signaling on a Singlemode fiber optic link. The 20mA interfaces can be expanded by using 8-port modules (8, 16 or 24 interfaces). Transmission of the signaling data is realized fully transparent and without caching of data by achieving a distance up to 30km (with 1,200bps). The shelf is suited for 19” installation by covering 6U in a rack. Failures and transmission activities are indicated by LEDs.
