Cost-effective voice-and-data multiplexing using one pair of fibers

The SPEED-MUX FO155 contains two slots for integration of Fast Ethernet, G.703/G.704 or X.21 interfaces to be multiplexed on a fiber optic link supporting a data rate of 155Mbps. The SFP uplink enables a flexible operation for connecting a Multimode or Singlemode fiber line – even the use of C/DWDM wavelengths are supported. A fiber-saving transmission over a single fiber can be realized by using corresponding single fiber transceivers.

Bi-directional Ethernet, n x ISDN and/or X.21/V.35 transmission

The SPEED-MUX FO155 can be used as an uplink module for other SPEED products by multiplexing additional signals (X.21, V.35, G.703/G.704, ISDN BRI S0) provided by the internal 2Mbps bus (n x 64kbps) on a fiber optic link. Thus the product is perfectly suited for Ethernet connection over fiber optic as well as for aggregation of low-speed services like n x 64kbps. Both Ethernet modules enables a maximum bandwidth utilization supporting up to 147Mbps. The modular design ensures a high-level protection of investments and enables a flexible adaptation of interfaces for changing requirements.
The SPEED-MUX FO155 can be installed either in a 1-slot stand-alone housing or in a 4-slot SPEED-RACKHOUSING for mounting in a 19” rack. The SPEED-RACKHOUSING provides the ability to optionally monitor the SPEED-MUX FO155 via SNMP using a management module.
