Description

The SPEED-MUX DSL belongs to the next generation of high-speed G.SHDSL multiplexers with a maximum bandwidth of 5.3Mbps over 2-wire copper lines. The multiplexer is equipped with an integrated 10/100BaseTX, serial n x 64kbps or G.703/G.704 enduser interface with the ability to connect further interfaces like  4 x ISDN BRI S0, 2 x X.21/V.35 and 1 x G.703 (E1)  modules using the internal 2Mbps bus of the 3-slot stand-alone housing or the SPEED-SHELF.
The optional support of the new G.SHDSL standard enables 25% greater distances so that transmission over distances of more than 1 km can be achieved. Links up to 50 km (with 2Mbps) can be realized by the use of doublers. An enhancement to provide automatic synchronization without previous configuration is available which enable implementations even by untrained personnel. The multiplexer then adapts to the optimum data rate independently.
The SPEED-MUX DSL can be installed flexibly in a 1-slot or 3-slot stand-alone housing and can be integrated in the 19"-rack SPEED SHELF (16 slots). The SPEED-SHELF provides the ability to optionally monitor the SPEED-MODEM FO via SNMP using a management rack mount card.
