Description

The SPEED-MUX FE1 enables transmission of voice and data services using only one framed or unframed E1 line to save the cost of a second line. The SPEED-MUX FE1 supports numerous interfaces e.g. 10BaseT, X.21, V.35 and ISDN, which can be multiplexed by concentration into one E1 leased line.  The data is transparently transferred over the E1 line, while system-dependent performance characteristics are maintained during voice transmission. The 3-slot stand-alone housing provides a modular design, with one slot for the E1 link module ( with additional X.21 or 10BaseT interface) and two slots for interface modules. The SPEED-MUX FE1 is ideally suited both for enterprise networks and carrier access solutions. The Multiplexer is available as a compact 3-slot stand-alone housing or as a rack mount card for the operation in the 19"SPEED-SHELF together with other SPEED products. Up to 4 Multiplexer can be integrated in a 19" SPEED-SHELF and connected to existing NMS infrastructures using a SNMP management rack mount card.
