The SPEED-COMVERTER G.703 FE1 is suitable for the transparent connection of X.21 or V.35 devices to 2Mbps links both according to ITU G.703/G.704 framed (e.g. D MS), and ITU G.703 unframed (e.g. D2MU). It is an ideal, external conversion solution to connect cost-effectively network components (e.g. router) to E1 leased lines. The interface at the end user side corresponds to the electrical specifications according to ITU x.21/V.11 an optionally V.35. The Speed of the G.704 mode is adjustable from 64kbps to 1,984kbps. The SPEED-CONVERTER G.703 FE1 is operating transparently with a synchronous speed of 2,048Mbps using the G.703 node,. The loop function implemented in the converter (remote loop) enables an immediate trouble-shooting in connection with LED indicators. The converter series can be operate as a modem over 4-wire copper lines. The SPEED-CONVERTER G.703 FE1 can be installed in a 1-slot or 3-slot stand-alone housing and can be integrated in the 19"-rack SPEED SCHELF (16 slots). The SPEED SHELF provides the ability to optionally monitor the SPEED-CONVERTER G.703 FE1 via SNMP using a management rack mount card.
