    The SPEED-MUX FO1300 is perfectly suited for asecure transmission of multiple 20 mA interfaces using a pair of fibers. Mission critical data have to be transmitted transparently and fail-safe, especially in the field of industrial process and control as well as railway and transportation. The modular SPEED-MUX FO1300 provides the required redundancy with its four redundant power supplies integrated in two logically and physically separated subsystems. Each subsystem can multiplex up to 24 x 20 mA signaling on a singlemode fiber optic link. The 20 mA interfaces can be expanded by using 8-port modules (8, 16 or 24 interfaces). Transmission of the signaling data is realized fully transparent and without caching of data by achieving a distance up to 30 km (with 1,200 bps). The shelf is suited for 19" installation by covering 6U in a rack. Failures and transmis-sion activities are indicated by LEDs.
