Pan Dacom Direkt GmbH has won at the 26th edition of the TOP 100 innovation competition. The company was selected by the mentor of the competition, Ranga Yogeshwar, and the scientific director of the comparison, Prof. Dr. med. Nikolaus Franke, and compamedia in the Frankfurter Jahrhunderthalle. Based on a scientific analysis, TOP 100 rates the innovation management of medium-sized companies and the resulting innovation successes. The Pan Dacom Direkt GmbH is one of the TOP 100 in 2019, one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany.

Pan Dacom Direkt's innovative technology ensures higher data transfer rates and greater security when connecting data centers of large corporations. The TOP 100 company has come up with an original solution: "In order to optimize data transfer between data centers, additional fiber can be laid or rent, which is costly. But you can also extend existing connections with our technology, "says Managing Director Dirk Bachmann. Almost 200 times the bit rate per fiber can be realized with its technology. With the optical transport system conventional leased lines with a transfer rate of max. 10/100 Gbit/s can be reduced and a data center interconnection over a single fiber pair with a transmission rate of 25.6 Tbps (25,600 Gbps) can be realized. In addition to the increase in bandwidth, customers also save rented connections, which usually save several hundred thousand Euros per year.

At the same time, the Germans developed a solution for more security: data sent via the extended optical fibers can be automatically encrypted.

The technology provides speed and security for connecting data centers, which are a lifeline for large companies. And this with technology "Made in Germany" - a fact that is very important for Dirk Bachmann: "We develop and manufacture in Germany in order to promote the development site in a technological high-tech area and to offer high-quality products."

The top innovator's services also include consulting services and service packages for all-round data center servicing. The ever increasing demand for higher bandwidths means that requirements that were not conceivable yesterday must be implemented tomorrow. However, it is not only important to build new networks, but also to migrate the existing networks, services, interfaces and infrastructures. When using the managed service approach, customers get their own dedicated connection for maximum security and cost transparency without having to invest in know-how and hardware (CAPEX). In addition, customers are supported in the event of short-term staff and resource bottlenecks in the context of logistics and engineering as a service models. Pan Dacom Direkt is the only manufacturer of WDM products in Germany that provides the one-stop shop for the development, production, provision and integration of the technical platform, the provision of dark fiber and the operational services.
